How is recreational marijuana taxed?There is a 10% excise tax on the sub-total plus an additional 6% sales tax on the total.

Can I purchase medical marijuana as a minor with an active Medical Marijuana Registry card?We are only doing recreational marijuana sales at this time. ALL registered qualifying medical patients and caregivers must be 21 years of age or older. Registered qualifying medical patients and caregivers will receive a 15% off discount on recreational marijuana SALES, but will still be liable for excise and sales taxes under MRTMA rules.

How do I get a Medical card?We do not conduct in-house doctor visits, but you can get certified for a medical marijuana card by making an appointment with a certifying physician. You will need to provide legitimate medical records or documentation from your primary care physician describing the diagnosis. To qualify, a patient needs to be diagnosed by a physician as having one of the following debilitating medical conditions that is specifically identified in the law: 1. Cancer, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), Crohn’s disease, agitation of Alzheimer’s disease, or nail patella. 2. A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or its treatment that produces one or more of the following: a. Cachexia or wasting syndrome; b. severe and chronic pain c. Severe nausea d. Seizures, including those characteristic of epilepsy; or e. Severe and persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis f. OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Chronic Pain, Spinal Cord Injury, Autism, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Tourette’s Syndrome, Arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Ulcerative Colitis g. and, any other medical condition or treatment for a medical condition adopted by the department by rule. After being certified by a medical marijuana physician, patients are required to register with the Michigan Medical Marijuana Program (MMMP). Registration is mandatory. The patient registry application fee is $60 — for both new and renewal applications.
